We were lucky enough to get the loft room, where you can lie in bed and look up at the sky, or sit out on your own terrace. The apartment is very clean, with daily room service, and you get a key so you can come and go whenever you like. Breakfast is brought to your room at the time you choose, with the usual Italian spread of croissant, sandwich, milk, coffee, orange juice and yogurt. It’s right in the middle of Lecce’s historic center, facing the church, and next to an art gallery. Inside, you almost feel like part of the gallery. A great place if you want to live like an Italian :)

The hosts made us feel welcome, and the whole place is full of art. Breakfast came to our room with warm milk for cappuccino, warm croissants and sweets.

The owner greeted me so warmly that I felt at home right away, and she was willing to help with anything. You can tell she puts her heart into this place. Every area is thoughtfully arranged, elegant, fragrant and inviting, and the rooms are quiet, clean and well equipped. It’s also very conveniently placed, close to both the city center and train station. This B&B became much more than somewhere to sleep for me. Some places really do stay in your heart.

My Booking reservation got canceled because of a mix-up, but when I called, Mr. Gaetano went out of his way to find me another option. It was Lecce’s busiest weekend, with Festa Padana + Notte della Taranta. I really wanted to leave a review because it’s rare to find a host so helpful and courteous.
