Breakfast and the way it was handled left a bad impression. Nobody told me the hours. At 7:45 they were only beginning to put food out, so I got coffee elsewhere and returned around 9. There was food sitting there, but I was told it was too late to eat and that breakfast would not be available the next day either. The response felt rude. The location was all right, though close to the town's prostitution area. The key setup was frustrating too. All the keys were on one ring, so I took off the one that turns on the room's electricity to let the AC cool things while I went to dinner, while keeping the keys I needed to lock the room and get back in. When they brought a pillow, they noticed and scolded me quite harshly, saying the key in the wall was separate. I put it back on the ring. It would make more sense to have a way to keep the room powered without needing the room and front door keys. If you're traveling with someone, one person can't leave while the other stays in with the electricity on. I've stayed in plenty of B&Bs and don't usually fuss over much, but this was one of my worst stays. It didn't feel like a hospitable place, and I'd suggest other travelers stay somewhere else.

My family and I had a lovely stay. Everything was nice!

Guissepe was so kind and attentive, and even gave us a lift to the next town while he was heading that way. He's a hero. The place itself is a spotless, tastefully decorated haven right in the heart of Lecce.

It was okay.
