We had a confirmed Booking.com reservation before we called. They asked us to cancel it on the platform and come directly, then called again to say they were “full.” This seems to happen to other people too, since they don’t even remember who they’ve told what. It’s misleading and unprofessional, and we felt the behavior was suspicious and dishonest, almost like a scam. If they ask you to cancel through Booking.com, don't do it or you'll lose the platform's protection. We strongly advise other travelers to avoid this place and book somewhere more reliable. Reply: I don’t know what story you’re telling or who it’s for. We booked through Booking.com, but soon after they called and asked us to cancel directly on the platform and come without the booking. Later they said they were full. This is highly unprofessional. Travelers, never cancel your platform booking, or you lose all protection.

The staff behaved in a racist way, and foreigners weren’t treated with respect. Avoid this place if you expect fair, welcoming service.

The price wasn’t justified by this disappointing stay. Our room was noisy, smelled strongly of cigarette smoke, and had mold and water damage. It also wasn’t ready when we arrived, and the loose shower glass panel felt like a serious safety risk. The accommodation was overpriced and had major cleanliness and maintenance problems.

The management was friendly and impeccable, and always available for questions or requests. It’s a beautiful, clean B&B in a great spot, just a few minutes’ walk from the historic center.
