The staff were extremely kind and helpful, and the room came with complimentary water. It was spacious and bright by day, although at night the different light sources were glaring, and I couldn't really read by them. The bed was comfortable, the shower great, and the heating worked well in winter. Wi-Fi was good. Breakfast had quite a few options and was pretty good, though the coffee wasn't great. The hotel is on a main street lined with shops, restaurants and bars, about a 20-minute walk from the old town. There's also a fairly large underground parking lot.

Breakfast had a nice variety, and the made-to-order coffee was very good. Mercure was good value for the money. We picked a renovated room, which was clean, comfortable and a decent size. The bed was a bit firm but fine; I didn't like the pillows or duvet. There were no slippers, which wasn't ideal. Sustainability matters, but it'd be better to ask guests if they want slippers and provide them when needed. I expected the hotel to be far from everything, but the route there passes streets with many of the good shops and restaurants.

The breakfast was delicious, with plenty of sweet and savory choices. The place looks good, with spacious corridors and those broad 1980s-style staircases. But the room walls are very thin, so it may not suit anyone wanting peace and quiet. We also thought we could hear the neighbors in the next room through the internal vents. Our shower leaked.

The rooms are spacious and the staff are friendly, with a good breakfast as well. The historic center of Lecce is only a short walk away, and the stay was very comfortable and good value. Some parts of the property could use a little updating.

The staff were wonderful, and they'll bring you cappuccino. Breakfast was a sufficient buffet, though the room is loud and has a cafeteria feel. Some rooms haven't been renovated and are much smaller than others. The AC wasn't great, and the shower's plastic doors let water go everywhere.
