Palazzo Sambiasi

The hospitality made this feel like home, and Palazzo Sambiasi has become our favorite place to stay in Italy. We've spent more than 35 years visiting different regions and have stayed in plenty of hotels and B&Bs, but this one stands out. We had a wonderful five nights in Lecce and look forward to returning. Grazie mille per la vostra gentilezza. Non dimenticheremo mai il nostro soggiorno a Lecce. We stayed in the Suite familiare con terrazzo privato - 2 camere, the family home of Francesca's parents. It had two bedrooms, a private terrace, dining room and sitting room, decorated with family portraits, books, artwork and antiques. The bed was very comfortable, the rooms were clean, and the sheets and towels were good quality. We visited in February and the heating kept us cozy. Every morning, breakfast was brought to our dining room at the time we requested. It was beautifully laid out, with colorful dishes and serving pieces, coffee, juice, water, jams and honey, plus fruit salad with walnuts, pastries (pasticiotti), Rustici (savory puff pastry filled with béchamel, mozzarella and tomato), Leccese focaccia and bruschetti topped with tomatoes, olives and capers. The owners and hosts were so kind and friendly. The suite is up two flights of stairs, but Cose' (owner/host) kindly carried our luggage to and from the room. The Palazzo is ideally placed for the sights, restaurants and shops, and for wandering around the city.

Francesca's big smile and helpfulness really stood out. She guided us to free parking and was always around if we needed anything. The palazzo is in a great location, and our rooftop room was wonderful. Don't miss this place.

We chose the rooftop room with its own terrace and highly recommend it. This is a beautiful old building in a perfect location, with very friendly hosts and a yummy breakfast. A great B&B!

We spent over a week at B&B Palazzo Sambiasi and really appreciated the space, especially the large terrace. It was a comfortable, relaxing stay, and we were well looked after. We'd definitely come back. Thanks for sharing your Palazzo with us in the heart of your beautiful city.
