My wife and I really appreciated the hotel's quiet, secluded setting, especially for relaxing in the morning and late afternoon. With a rental car, it was also easy to reach the surrounding towns. The historic center of Lecce is a 25-minute walk away, which was no problem for us, even though we're all retired. We had a large, bright corner room in the main building, with a terrace overlooking the garden and pool. We enjoyed predinner drinks there with friends each night during our four-night stay. The house was clean and well maintained, and both the bedroom and bathroom were spacious and bright. The staff were friendly and incredibly helpful, especially Myriam. Breakfast was served in a large dining room at a time we chose, with lots of options if you ordered ahead. I'd recommend the fresh pasticicotto. We hope to come back soon.

The house has charm, but it's old and no longer in the best condition. There was no hot water in the bathroom. Breakfast was good, though. Our stay at Relais Delle Rose was disappointing. We booked four rooms for ten people through Booking.com, but on arrival we were charged about 50 euros more than the amount shown in my booking reference. They said we had to pay a tourist tax that was supposed to be included. The owner wouldn't provide a receipt or other proof of payment, which caused me a lot of trouble because I was traveling with a travel organization. After that payment experience, I wouldn't recommend staying here.

Miriam was especially welcoming and helpful. She showed us the gardens and the fruits and herbs growing wild, #thespanglishkitchen. The entrance, grounds and house all have a lovely atmosphere, and the guests seemed very international, which I usually prefer. Breakfast was very good too. We had three excellent nights in a comfortable room with an amazing terrace. The pool looked inviting, with plenty of sun beds, though we didn't get to use it. One small thing: it would be nice to have more bottled water available, since the two small bottles in the fridge were gone the first night. There's a Conad supermarket about five minutes away by car. We'd gladly return to Lecce, which is an amazing city, and to Relais Delle Rose. Complimenti !! #relaisdellerose

Just outside Lecce's ZTL zone, Relais Delle Rose was easy to reach in a rental car. We enjoyed the terrace for drinks or meals, and the pool had shaded lounges. The staff, especially the two hosts, made the place stand out. They helped us find COVID testing facilities, spoke Italian with the rental car company to open an accident claim, and looked up places for us to visit. They were the most helpful hosts I've had in all my travels. They can also put together special lunches and dinners if you'd like a tasty, quiet meal without going to a local restaurant. I had a great time and would definitely stay here again.

The building was lovely, and the room was clean, spacious and quiet. Staff were friendly. We chose the place because it had a pool, but it looked green and unclean, which was a shame.
