The service was very friendly, and the swimming pool is beautiful, large, and well cleaned. But we found the accommodation and its condition below standard, so we wouldn’t stay again. The cottage was disappointing. Insects came in under the door, the toilet cistern often stuck, and the gas stove had no mechanical ventilation, leaving heat and cooking smells inside. The sofa bed was hard and uncomfortable. Air conditioning was included in the price, which was a plus, but the interior was poorly cleaned: dusty floors, cobwebs everywhere, and dirty cutlery in the drawer. Many pans were dented or missing parts, and there was no oven or microwave. The shower quickly turned lukewarm and had a weak stream. Flies often bothered us around the area, perhaps because of the horses. The small complex consists of several cottages split up, and the house by the pool belongs to the owner. The owner gave us a warm welcome, stayed reachable throughout the visit, and was friendly. Card payment was possible, but for some unexplained reason it didn’t work. Lecce city center is a 10-minute drive away. There’s also a large shopping center about 7 minutes away, with a beautiful supermarket and a hamburger fast-food restaurant with the yellow M.
