The location is good, but the street music was loud. The hotel looks flashy and claims four stars, but the condition and service felt run down. Staff were sullen and only begrudgingly helpful. Breakfast was good, though there was no dinner restaurant or bar service. We booked a quad room for two adults and our children, aged 13 and 15, but arrived to find two double beds. One could be split. Since no housekeeping staff were available in the afternoon or evening, we offered to do it ourselves. The receptionist first said she didn't know where the sheets were; later, with another staff member, we found the storeroom and insisted they locate single sheets. We split and remade the beds ourselves. The sheets were clean but had holes. There were only two glasses in the quad room. The spa bath had no plug, but that didn't matter since it wouldn't drain anyway. When we complained, we were told the spa baths had been closed and broken for years. Our daughter was also told the pool costs extra. Other reviews suggest the charge varies from €25 to €90, with no indication of a fee on the website or at check-in.

The location is perfect and the staff were friendly and helpful, but my bed and curtains had mold. The air conditioning barely worked and the bathroom was tricky. Breakfast was poor. Parking takes some figuring out, then it's okay. You can't drive up to the hotel, though, so expect to carry your bags a couple of blocks.

The bathroom was grubby, two of the room lights didn't work, and the safe was broken. The bedroom curtains couldn't be drawn far enough to cover the windows. We also asked for two key cards, but the hotel couldn't provide them. The male receptionist who handled this, David P, was rude, dismissive, and unhelpful. Disappointing service, facilities, and cleanliness.

The location was very good, but this was the only disappointment on our trip to Italy. The young man at reception was unpleasant and unhelpful when we asked ordinary questions, like where to eat or for a city map, and kept the same attitude day after day. Room 305 had too few electrical outlets and a water leak in the bathroom. It was also extremely hot inside, even in March. There are no windows except two in the ceiling, and opening them let in mosquitoes. Simple advice: install “zanzeriere”. We didn't sleep well, and that can spoil any visit.

The room was okay, though windowless, which was mentioned in the fine print. The breakfast lady was very nice, but the front desk staff were unfriendly. The buffet wasn't replenished during service, so good luck if you show up halfway through. The pool is just for show and can't be used, and as far as I could tell, the 'spa' doesn't exist. There were no tea or coffee facilities, unlike the other seven hotels on my trip, and no complimentary bottled water, which I'd found in all the other four-star hotels. The safe didn't work, and other guests had the same problem in their rooms. Compared with The Grand Hotel di Lecce, which was cheaper and nicer, this gets two stars from me. I would have stayed longer at The Grand, but it was fully booked for the rest of my stay. No surprise, since it's much nicer.
