Lake Como Holiday Apartments

I wouldn't recommend staying here unless you have no other place to go. I’ve traveled around Italy a lot and haven’t come across anywhere like this. It felt like a tourist trap. The room was dusty and not clean, with mold in the bathroom. It was so humid that even the floor in the room was wet. The humidity seemed around 80%, despite the air conditioning running. You can’t turn it off, and changing the temperature doesn’t stop it. The room was apparently cleaned with a dirty mop, which says a lot about the cleaning. There’s no host in person, just access codes, and communication was difficult. I arrived at 12:30 with my child and asked if we could wait there or at least leave our luggage. They sent the codes after 14:30, while elevator check-in is at 14:00 and Booking clients check in at 15:00. I was left waiting even though the room wasn't clean. There was noise outside at night. The area also felt very unsafe, especially in the evening and overnight, with all kinds of suspicious people around, perhaps because it’s near the train station.
