There's so much potential here, which makes it a pity that it isn't being used. I ordered grilled goat cheese with grilled vegetables for 10€, and got exactly those things: microwave-heated white cheese on a white plate, two slices of zucchini and two of aubergine. No herbs, decoration, or even a drop of olive oil or anything. The funny part is, you're surrounded by Mediterranean herbs and things. Come on, guys, let's get to work. I've done it too for 10€.
A nice restaurant.
We left without eating. We arrived at the entrance and asked for a table for two. I noticed a blonde woman about 5'4" tall, wearing glasses, wiping her shoes with a rag. She hadn't noticed me watching. Then she came over and used that same rag to wipe the table where we were meant to sit. When I complained, she said she hadn't cleaned the soles. She went toward the bathroom or somewhere like that, then came back 20 seconds later with the same rag and wiped the table again, saying it was clean. We sat down, but a dirty smell started coming from the table, dampened by the rag. We couldn't stay and argue without ruining our lunch, so we got up and left.
The setting of the Hermitage is beautiful, and the staff are helpful and friendly. I recommend visiting, especially for the delicious homemade cakes. Prices are a bit steep.
We had the same experience with the "price multiplication" miracle. The displayed prices were significantly lower than what we were actually charged. Pay attention.
