The owner is friendly and very helpful whenever you need something. The house sits on a quiet, green hillside, secluded and independent, with a wonderful view over the Gulf of La Spezia. The seafront is about a five-minute walk away.

I chose this house in Lerici because private parking was included. Just before reaching town, I called the lady managing it to ask about the ZTL zone and parking. She told me not to worry and said they'd give my license plate to the municipality to get authorization. Two months later, the municipality of Lerici sent me a substantial fine. I called the lady right away for an explanation; she asked me to send a photo of it and said she'd sort it out. A year later, the municipality sent the fine again, now for an even higher amount. The lady stopped answering and blocked my number. I then contacted the property owner, E.P., who is a lawyer, and explained what had happened. He said he didn't handle it and that I would have to deal with it myself. The house was dirty and poorly maintained. Between the fine, which ended up costing me three times as much, and the time and stress spent trying to resolve the problem, this cost far more than the stay.

They welcomed us very warmly, and the view is superb.
