The hosts welcomed us warmly and shared plenty of useful suggestions for activities and restaurants when we arrived. The apartment was modern and had all the conveniences we needed. Nice lake view and a good location, too. We'd recommend it and would come back.

La Masarana won us over with its infinity pool and the view across Lake Maggiore. The water was crystal clear and so well cared for, and from the terraces you could hear birds and the breeze moving through the trees. Even the garden air seemed to carry the scent of an Italian paradise. Watching the sunrise over the lake from the dining table was one of those moments that makes you smile without thinking. It brought us right into the present. Elena had already sent us local tips on WhatsApp before we arrived, and she had prepared what we needed for our first evening. Sitting on the terrace with the lit pool in front of us and the calm of northern Italy all around, we knew we would want to return. She's the young proprietor, and the care she's put into the place is clear. There are more than four holiday apartments here, in a building that fits so naturally into the landscape it feels as if it's always belonged. The design is contemporary but timeless, with an elegance that feels familiar and still sophisticated. The winding roads through the green hills near Stresa led us to a rare find. La Masarana feels like more than a place to stay, it's a feeling of being among friends in a landscape that makes every view seem poetic. Some trips keep going in your mind long after you've left.

The apartments were clean, modern, fairly spacious, and comfortable, with a fantastic view. The pool was beautiful and the service was friendly and very nice. It's an excellent base for visiting Lago Maggiore.

Elena and Andrea live at the villa and look after it wonderfully. They were very friendly and gave us useful ideas for nearby restaurants and activities. Our apartment was comfortable, clean, and well equipped, and we could enjoy a fantastic lake view from our private terrace. With only four apartments in total, the place was quiet and never crowded. My partner, our two-year-old daughter, and I had a wonderful two-week stay at La Mascarana. The villa sits in the upper part of Lesa, overlooking Lake Maggiore, and had been beautifully renovated earlier that year. We especially appreciated the pool with deck chairs, shared laundry room, and private parking. We'd definitely recommend staying here and would love to return.
