Hotel Al Terra di Mare

The hotel is peaceful, up in the hills above Levanto, with a nice valley outlook, a pool, and a good breakfast. There’s no dinner option, so we had to depend on the shuttle to eat downtown. It isn’t really walkable. The shuttle runs regularly, but you have to book it, and each trip costs 5 euros after the first two rides in a day. That’s a shame, because if you don’t have a car, you really need the shuttle.

The owners clearly care about their guests having a good stay, and the service was excellent. Our rooms were spotless, breakfast was superb, and we really enjoyed the beautiful view and pool. The train station for the Cinque Terre hike and the town weren’t too far by car or shuttle. A kettle in the room would be a nice addition.

The staff made this place for me. They were so welcoming, friendly, and accommodating, and there’s shuttle service to the train. The setting is gorgeous, perched on a hill, with big, clean, modern rooms and an infinity pool looking out over the mountains and ocean. And the breakfast buffet was amazingly delicious, with fresh cheese, meat, pastries, jams, mimosas, and whatever you might fancy. Highly, highly recommend. We’ll be back!

Our kids loved the elegant pool on the hillside, and we spent time there nearly every day. Breakfast was incredible. This is a wonderful family-run hotel in the hills above Levanto, and the staff were friendly and extremely helpful, making our stay a delight.
