The room and bathroom were clean and spacious, and the unit itself was nice. The fridge is shared between all the rooms, and there's no kitchen guests can use. We struggled with the shower because the temperature kept switching: set it warm, and after 15-20 seconds it turned cold, then the reverse happened too. Check-in was awkward. You have to call the owner when you arrive, and she asked for an exact arrival time, which we couldn't know. She opens the door remotely, so even the precise minute mattered. Without internet, you'd have to ask someone on the street to call her or share their connection, as we did. The owner also texted us almost every day, starting five days before we arrived, telling us to leave the city tax on the table. It was 8 euros for two people for two days.

The rooms are on the second floor, and you'll need to take the stairs since there's no elevator. Still, I'd stay again for the great location and good value. The friendly owners manage Opera Prima 28 rooms on Via Volturno, a perfect starting point for exploring the old city on foot. It's an economical stay with enough comfort, including a private bathroom and a large room. We drove in from the airport, PMO, and parked at the nearby Orlando parkhouse, about a five-minute walk away.

The location was the only good part. Looking at the room overlooking the patio, I messaged the lady to ask if there'd been a mistake. It was one of the worst places I've stayed, not worth even 20 euros a night. The website photos show different rooms, and there wasn't a kettle or even a glass. I felt cheated booking through the portal and was completely sure I'd have filed a complaint.

The B&B is tucked behind the Teatro Massimo in Palermo's historic center, and it's kept very clean and in careful order. Mrs. Caterina welcomed me warmly and gave me a small gift from her shop. The room was cleaned every day, and the cleaning lady I met over the following days was also very kind and happy to accommodate my requests. I highly recommend it!!!!

Ms. Caterina was kind and helpful, and ready to answer whatever we asked. The room and bathroom were spacious and very clean, in a strategic spot behind the Teatro Massimo. If we come back to Palermo, we'll definitely stay here again. Thanks from Debora and Raffaella.
