Hotel Palazzo Vannoni

Alberto and Eliza made us feel at home and went well beyond what we expected. Alberto picked out good restaurants, booked tables for us, and checked the next day to hear how we’d liked them. The rooms were comfortable, with updated bathroom fixtures and comfortable beds. Breakfast was very good, the coffee was wonderful, and they always asked if we wanted an espresso drink. We loved being near central Levanto, the beach, and the walking paths. Levanto worked out to be an excellent base for visiting the Cinque Terra area. We’d happily stay here again.

Alberto and Francesca stayed in touch after our train was cancelled by the March 19th strike. They sent a taxi company’s phone number, and Alberto even came to pick us up at the station. When we left in the morning before breakfast started, they had a breakfast packed for us to take along. They were so helpful. The hotel is absolutely wonderful, and I highly recommend it as a base for Cinque Terre. You won’t be disappointed.

We arrived by train very late, and the hotel manager came to collect us at the station, which was fantastic. The hotel is newly built, beautifully decorated, and well located. Service was personal and attentive without feeling intrusive. Breakfast was very good, with fresh, clean food that covered what we needed. Ask the staff for restaurant and activity suggestions, or help with bookings. Levanto makes an ideal starting point for trips around the region. We’d love to come back!

The hotel is in a handy spot near a laundromat, grocery store, and the beach. Staff were exceedingly helpful and well organized, and they made dinner reservations and gave us recommendations that turned out to be spot on. The rooms were nicely decorated, clean, and very quiet. One of the nicest places we’ve stayed in Italy, and we’d return.
