L'Amandola Villa - Agriturismo

We were six people sharing three rooms, and the booking was very straightforward. We spoke with Lorenzo on the phone, and he met us when we arrived. At the pool, we all had a complimentary glass of their own wine while Lorenzo gave us tips on getting around, places to see, and places to eat. We ate at the villa on our first two nights, with a lovely table and beautiful poolside views. The meals were very good, and we probably had the best Aperol spritzes ever. Everyone in the family was welcoming and friendly, and the atmosphere was lovely. Even though the place seemed full, the pool area never felt crowded, and everyone was polite and considerate. Breakfast was excellent, especially the fresh fruit, yogurt, and honey. Their homemade olive oil was fantastic too. We could only stay four nights, but it was memorable. I found Villa L'Amandola online and loved it right away, and it exceeded all my expectations. I'd happily recommend it to everyone and hope to return someday. The staff were so welcoming that staying there felt like visiting family. Breakfast was nice, and we were lucky to have Milo the cat keep us company. When we arrived, the lovely dog Black greeted us. The hotel was easy to find, had great parking options, and was within walking distance of town. We only stayed one night and spent most of it away, taking the train to Cinque Terre. We missed the dinner offered that evening and didn't have time to try the pool or enjoy the scenery. We'd recommend staying for at least two nights to make the most of this lovely place.

The beds were fairly hard, which was my main complaint, though they may suit other people better. Our room was spacious and clean, and the kids loved the green space, hammock, and playground. We also enjoyed the sparkling pool and had aperitivo on several nights. The breakfast was divine, with delicious local products and fresh eggs cooked to order on the terrace, which has stunning views of the landscape. The villa is on a hill, only about an 8-10 minute walk from the train station, so day trips were easy. From the moment we arrived, Lorenzo, Laura, and Franca made us feel at home and treated us like family. They took time to explain the area and share insider tips that made our stay even better. L'Amandola is clean, friendly, well located, and great value for the money. We loved this little Agriturismo in Levanto and would recommend it.

The house and setting are gorgeous, and the pool is lovely. Levanto itself is a great base for visiting the cinque terre, with a nice beach and plenty of good restaurants nearby. The bed was noisy and uncomfortable, though, and we had two bad nights. At this price, that's not acceptable. The location gets 10/10 from me, but facilities only 5/10. The hosts were very friendly and helpful, and gave us clear, useful information about Levanto and Cinque terre when we arrived. Still, hospitality gets 7/10 because we were charged €5 per glass to taste two glasses of their homemade wine. At these prices, we felt a complimentary glass would have been more fitting. Breakfast was okay, and the homemade jams were nice, but we've had much better breakfasts at other agriturismos for half the price. Instant coffee served as americano doesn't seem right. Breakfast gets 5/10. Our stay at L'Amandola was okay, but overpriced. We've had better for much less, so we wouldn't recommend it at the moment. We would recommend visiting Cinque Terre and Levanto, though. They're very nice places. Kind regards, Lore & Lenz
