Outside was covered in weeds, and the place itself was awful. We were promised a beachfront apartment described as a villa, but what we got felt like a neglected shack, all makeshift. The interior lights didn’t work, including none in the bathroom. With it 37 degrees outside, the water only came out boiling hot because the pipes ran along the street. Not even a cool shower was possible.

Right in the heart of Leverano, it’s a charming place with great service. Valentina made us feel welcome and was glad to suggest places to eat, beaches, and sights to see. A handy base for exploring Salento.

Friends of mine stayed here and were delighted. They mentioned the fair price and how warm the welcome was, while still being left to themselves.
