After a ten-hour drive, arriving at Adrian’s apartment felt like a relief. She’d left pasta for us, which really saved us, and her communication and welcome were lovely. We only stayed one short night, but felt at home, especially with that breathtaking balcony view in the morning. The drive from Como city is beautiful in daylight; at night, as we found, it takes some attention. There are stairs up to the apartment, so a small suitcase is easier for an overnight visit. We were a couple with our twelve-year-old daughter and thought it was great value, homely, and a lovely place for a holiday. Wish we could have stayed longer. Grazia Adrian.

The Como view is lovely and the apartment was clean, though the renovation doesn't feel very recent. Getting there is the hard part: the climb and all the steps are tough with suitcases, and there’s nowhere nearby to park.

The balcony looking out over Lake Como is stunning, and Adriana gave us a warm welcome with a snack. Staying in the old house was special, with modern apartments inside, narrow cobbled lanes, and friendly neighbors. A bus stop is close by, and without a car you can get to Bellagio for the boats across the lake, though having a car is preferable. The steep hills and cobbled streets may make this a poor fit for travelers with disabilities. We had an unforgettable holiday, thank you, Adriana!
