Palazzo del Vicerè

We spent four nights here, and with such a peaceful area and our own car, it made a great base for exploring the lake. The room was really good, and the staff were incredibly friendly. It didn't feel like staying at a hotel so much as visiting a lovely family. A successful trip, and we wish the staff all the best.

We stayed at Palazzo del Vicerè with our three children, and Arianna made us feel welcome from the start. She was so kind, responsive, and attentive, and even picked us up herself from the ferry station. Our mornings began with a delicious breakfast in the elegant palazzo, and the private beach was spacious and beautifully maintained. On the day we left, Arianna surprised us with freshly made pistachio croissants. Her son Nicola was also a great help, always friendly and ready to assist with a smile. The building's historic charm, its waterfront location, and the thoughtful hospitality made the stay feel like being with family. Every detail seemed arranged to welcome families like ours. We're already looking forward to coming back.

A photo can say more than a thousand words about the view here. The staff, especially Arianna and her team, made the holiday special with thoughtful service and hospitality. The palazzo is a magnificent place to stay while visiting Como, with just six bedrooms, access to the beach, and a sun terrace with a mini bar available. This is a place to appreciate the lake's spirit and get away from crowds, tourist-filled restaurants, and noisy areas. The building dates from the 1700s and still has its original ceiling frescoes in the rooms. Keep in mind that it isn't accessible for people with disabilities, so it won't suit everyone.

The sailing trip offered alongside our stay was a real highlight, and we enjoyed the local wines plus the local cheeses and meats served at breakfast. Every room had its own table setting, which made the experience feel intimate and personal throughout. My wife and I ended our honeymoon at Palazzo del Vicerè. It was our first trip to Italy, after traveling north from the Amalfi Coast through Rome, Florence, and Venice to Lezzeno on Lake Como. We didn't know what to expect, and the place was even better than we could have imagined. The Palazzo is a gem, a beautiful piece of history to experience. The host, owner, staff, breakfast, and rooms were all top tier and extremely accommodating. We can't say enough good things about it. We'll return and look forward to exploring Lake Como from our home base at Palazzo Del Vice Re for many years.
