We stayed for nine nights, and I wouldn’t return. The food was very good, so congratulations to the cooks, and the sandy beach was clean. The place itself, though, didn’t feel worth the four stars displayed on the building or the price we paid. It felt like they were trying to rip people off, and the price-to-quality balance fell short of what we expected. The rooms were poor, with horrible beds and cheap, bad pillows. Other guests also said they weren’t sleeping well. The bathroom looked old and cheap, and sometimes smelled bad when we went in, even after it hadn’t been used for 6-8 hours. The lobby also looked old and cheap. The hotel was clean, which was a plus, but the surrounding area wasn’t much to speak of. Some staff members weren’t welcoming or willing to help. Many didn’t speak good English, which is something people often run into with working Italians in Sicily. One receptionist spoke English well and seemed to be doing her job normally, so cheers to her. The animators were great, though they weren’t hotel staff, they worked for a separate company at the property. We paid for our room, breakfast, and dinner, and stayed a long time, but they still charged a lot for the beach. That wasn’t our experience at hotels in Spain, Turkey, or Greece. There were also no cards for guests to enter the property or their own rooms.

The beach, pool, sea, and weather were all lovely, with good food, fun activities, a great sea view from the balcony, and amazing staff. The beds were tiny and the mattresses rock hard, though, and both the bathrooms and little shower cabins felt very dated.

I’ve stayed in much better places for this price, and I wouldn’t go back. We booked a “soundproof” room, but the walls were paper-thin and we could hear every noise from the neighbors. We complained and switched rooms, only to find the air conditioning broken. That room faced the swimming pool, where there were loud parties every day. I understand having activities for children, but the program was exactly the same each day and people didn’t even seem to enjoy it. After the kids’ party, adult music played until midnight, which made it impossible for us to rest. The food was horrible. The coffee didn’t taste like coffee, and the eggs were just as bad. I mostly ate fruit. I wasn’t expecting top-quality meals at this kind of hotel, just something edible. Dinner was no better, with the same pasta every day and a really strange taste. I don’t know how they managed to make such a simple dish so bad. Most of the hotel staff were nice, friendly, and helpful. The pool was comfortable to sit by, and the hotel was right on the beach, so we could go there whenever we wanted.

After 17 years of traveling around many countries, including Italy 🇮🇹, I’ve never seen a hotel like this. There were no shops, restaurants, or shopping centers nearby. We had to pay extra for the pool and beach, which I haven’t come across elsewhere and expected to be part of the package. Parking cost extra too, and we had to pay for Wi-Fi that was so slow it didn’t even work in some places. My biggest problem was the menu. There was no English, so I accidentally ate food I shouldn’t have. I can’t say the staff were bad, they were friendly, but the hotel overall wasn’t great. The location wasn’t good, and the food was almost the same every day. We also had no hand soap in the bathroom from the first day until we left after a week. I’ll never visit this place again, even if there’s nowhere else in the world.

The food was a real highlight, with plenty of local dishes to try, from meat and fish to pasta, vegetables, fruit, and salads. The staff were kind and helpful, and our room was clean. The hotel is only a few metres from a lovely sandy beach. I did think the four-star rating was a bit generous, though three stars would have felt about right. Noise was the bigger problem: nearby bars sometimes played very loud music until 4 AM.
