Hotel La Loggia

We left after only five minutes and were still charged for one night. The hotel sits in a beautiful spot in the Italian mountains, but the grounds felt neglected and dirty, and the pool was empty and full of dirt. There was nowhere to sit outside, including by our ground-floor room, so we couldn't enjoy the view. There were no guests or staff around apart from an Italian man who didn't speak any English. They also had no food or drinks available, and the nearest pizzeria was at least a 30-40 minute walk away. After that experience, I wouldn't recommend the place.

The pool was a real highlight, spacious and well equipped, with the sea on one side and mountains on the other. We had a large room with a balcony looking over the valley and sea, plus a comfortable bed and a roomy bathroom. The hotel is airy and sits 500 meters above sea level, yet the sea is only seven minutes away. We spent a wonderful seven days here. For the area, it seems the best choice if you don't need to be right by the beach.

We ended up adding an extra night because we felt so at home here. Mr. Serafino and the rest of the staff were kind, professional, and quick to suggest places to visit or eat. Breakfast was good, though a bit more variety would have been nice. The property looked newly renovated and was kept in lovely condition, with spacious, clean rooms, views of both sea and mountains, Wi-Fi, and air conditioning. The pool was gorgeous, and swimming with that view was a treat. My girlfriend and I stayed for five nights in a great location in the mountains, just past the ancient village of Tortora and 7 km from the beaches.

The pool overlooking the valley was one of the best parts, and swimming there with that view was lovely. The hotel is set in the hills above Praia and Tortora, with wide views of the sea and valley. Our room was spacious, spotless, and stayed airy thanks to the hillside setting. Service was impeccable, and the staff were so friendly and always ready with suggestions. Breakfast was excellent too, with homemade cakes and pastries. A wonderful stay.
