The vibe was great, and the place has both sports and ocean right there. We came as visitors to watch the U19 womens Floorball competition. Go Canada!

A good setup for big sports groups, though some parts could use renovation. It would also help to have signs showing where the buildings are.

The location by the lake is brilliant, and the whole park is clean and well maintained with plenty to do. We stayed in the apartments at Riga; ours was a decent size, though pretty basic. Food in the village was just alright, fair enough but nothing special. We didn’t interact much with the camp staff, but they seemed pleasant.

The room was very cold, and there was never any hot water.

The public areas, including the corridors and lifts, were visibly dirty, and the room floor looked like it hadn't been cleaned for months. The bathroom was even worse: the toilet clearly hadn't been cleaned, there was hair all over, and the shower doors had blood and snot on them. The rubber seal was rotten too. Mold in the shower might be what you expect from a cheap place, but all of this was far beyond that. We didn't try the restaurant after this experience, especially given its terrible reviews. Depending on the room, sleeping is only possible when the hotel isn't blasting music. They started at 8am. If you're considering staying here, don't.
