Hotel Stiefel

The staff made us feel genuinely welcome. Rafael and his daughter treated us wonderfully, and the hotel is pet-friendly. Our little daughter loved seeing the dogs around, which we enjoyed too as animal lovers. We stayed four nights as a family with a five-year-old, and it was a great experience. We’ll definitely come back. Grazie, Rafael, and all the best to you and your team! The location worked really well for us: the beach is a five-minute walk, downtown is across the street, and a pedestrian street with lots of restaurants is only 200 metres away. There's also a nearby shop open late for drinks and fast food, plus attractions for kids. The hotel has deals with some restaurants for 10% off. We tried A’Mare, which was very good and fairly priced, something that's not so common here. Parking was easy, five minutes away in a safe spot, and at €6 a day it was a bargain compared with finding parking in the city. Our room was on the small side, but had enough space, especially since we spent most of our time out exploring. It was perfectly clean, and service cleaning was done perfectly whenever we asked. The modern bathroom had a very good shower, hot water worked flawlessly, and there were always fresh towels. The bed was comfortable, and the free air conditioning was quiet and powerful, a real relief from the summer heat. I've stayed places where the air conditioning barely worked. There was a sunny balcony with a clothesline for sitting outside or drying clothes quickly. The street was peaceful, and we heard nothing at night, even in mid-August. The room also had a TV, a safe where we kept passports, car documents, and keys, and fast, stable Wi-Fi. Downstairs there was a coffee machine with around 15 types of coffee and warm drinks for €1, plus very cold water and other drinks at fair prices. For the price, it was far better than many other hotels and made perfect sense. Some people complain there is no breakfast, but that is clearly stated in the booking information. It makes no sense to me to pay €100 more per night somewhere else just for breakfast. You can get good coffee and pastries 200 metres away.
