Hotel Italia Palace

This is just my opinion based on an experience with the hotel staff. My girlfriend and I were on a ship at sea when an emergency happened. The ship made it back to Lignano Sabbiadoro, and we needed to find a way to get to Grado. I planned to stay at the hotel if we couldn't find a same-day solution. I explained what had happened and asked to use the WC. The woman at reception refused twice, saying it wasn't possible because we weren't guests. I think even an AI would have had some compassion and let us use the WC. Be careful when choosing this hotel's services.

The hotel is beautiful and comfortable, in an excellent location, and the rooftop terrace is great for the bar and wellness area. The staff were friendly and helpful. Breakfast was fine, with good cappuccino and eggs, but the tables are too close together. The fresh fruit could be cut and prepared more nicely, and the crepes were bad. Our Junior Suite was under the rooftop bar and Restaurant, so every night we heard footsteps and furniture being moved until late. Sensitive sleepers should avoid the 3rd floor. The TV was also too small and poor quality.

Guests can use the saunas, jacuzzi, and swimming pool on the roof. Breakfast has a great selection and is served in a cozy rooftop restaurant with a nice view. Lovely hotel, with friendly staff.

I'd gone to book a room directly at reception, and we'd already agreed on 1500€ for 5 nights. Then I urgently needed the toilet, and the receptionist told me it was for guests only and sent me to the bar opposite. I changed my mind and left right away. I probably saved myself a lot of stress during the stay.
