Residenza Cristallo

There's plenty of parking, though the spaces are so narrow that even small cars may not fit comfortably. The building is clean, with three elevators serving each wing, and residents have access to a pool with a pleasant, tidy atmosphere and free sunbeds. Every apartment has a terrace. Best of all, the beach is directly across from the building.

The sea was right nearby, which was the one good part. The rest was awful. We booked for three, but the room wasn't suitable for three people, and there was no bed, just mattresses, so we had to sleep on the floor. For what we paid, that was hard to accept. We couldn't sit out on the balcony either, since we were face to face with the neighbors and had no privacy.

The apartment itself was nice and had a sea view. For the price, it was much like the other apartments we've had in lignano. The restaurant downstairs, though, was awful. I ordered prosciutto fungi and the mushrooms were raw. When I went back, the staff said that's how it was supposed to be. The pizza was the worst I've ever had, so go a few minutes away for better food. I'd avoid this restaurant.

The pool was a bit cold, but the rooms were nice and had a sea view. The pizza downstairs was good.
