The beach is 350m away, and umbrellas with two deckchairs are very reasonably priced. The sea is warm and shallow, great for kids. There are restaurants, promenades, and plenty of cycling paths nearby, and the hotel lends bikes for exploring the area. Our room was large and beautifully decorated in a lovely building in a quieter part of town. Everything was impeccably clean, with daily cleaning and fresh towels. The rooftop has a pool and bar, and breakfast was very good, made with local products. There’s underground parking on site; if it’s full, there are lots of free spaces in the area. The staff were professional and very friendly, and it was easy to communicate in English or German. We recommend it to anyone looking for sun and relaxation.

We booked a Double Room through booking.com and explained that our baby would sleep in our bed, so we didn’t need any extra changes. After that, the hotel sent messages saying we couldn’t bring a baby and urging us to cancel before the stated deadline if we wanted our money back. It was very confusing and felt close to discrimination. This hotel doesn’t seem family-friendly. I don’t recommend it.

The website claims were wrong. There was no parking, so we left the car on the street. The room AC is noisy and barely cools the room, and many doors are broken, especially the bathroom door. The WC has no lock. Room service takes ages, and even then the room still isn’t tidy or clean. The internet is awful, with a separate code for each device. I’d never recommend this place or stay here again.

Hotel Vienna in Lignano was a great choice for us. The atmosphere is pleasant, and the staff, management, and owner are all friendly. They took special care at breakfast to accommodate a food request. The rooms are extremely clean and comfortable. Tanja&Jemin
