Albergo Bellavista

The food wasn’t hot when it arrived. We’d already waited a while, so I didn’t send it back. Before that, we stood at the entrance for at least 10 mins waiting to be seated, and after we sat down nobody came over. I had to go to the till and order for myself. The staff are plain rude. Please avoid this restaurant, not the hotel. It seems the restaurant staff are hurting the hotel’s reputation too.

I only visited the restaurant. The seafood risotto was basically plain cooked rice, with lots of small broken shells in it, like shrapnel. The shrimp were very soft, more like a cream. Horrible food, the worst I’ve ever had.

Sitting there by the water for lunch felt magical. We’d driven over from an hour away on a day trip to see Lake Garda, and stopped at the restaurant. The food was spectacular and the service was great too.

We found secure motorcycle parking, and they transported us and our luggage right to the hotel door. Breakfast was great, especially the coffee, and the owner’s son was particularly helpful. It’s a really nice hotel and restaurant run by a lovely family, with amazing service. The negative reviews seem misplaced to me. If you’re after an authentic Italian experience, do yourself a favour and stay here.
