The views across Lake Garda are spectacular, and everything in Limone is within walking distance. The hills are extremely steep, though, so I wouldn’t suggest it for anyone at the pram or pushchair stage. From around age four it’s fine, but it’s impractical if you have limited mobility. The self-catering place is spacious, well equipped, and stays cool despite having no air conditioning. Very high quality.

That view of the water and surrounding nature is breathtaking, whether you’re having breakfast or a glass of wine in the evening. Villa Limone is also well placed for exploring the area, or simply enjoying the quiet. The owner is so welcoming and helpful that you feel at home straight away. The house is stylish, spotless, and thoughtfully equipped with modern amenities. My stay was a real highlight, and I’d wholeheartedly recommend it. I’ll definitely return.

We spent a week here with family in April 2022, and would love to come back. The house is well equipped and beautifully placed, with a fantastic lake view. There’s parking, plus a large covered terrace where you can sit outside even when it rains. The owner was very friendly and helpful, and shared some great tips for the area.

We’ve come back for a second stay, and Villa Limone is still in immaculate condition. Its two units are 100 square meters each and have everything you need. The lake view is sensational, though getting there means a fairly steep climb, and neither the villa nor the village is suited to people with limited mobility. I especially liked the outdoor shower. With temperatures at 30 degrees Celsius or higher, air conditioning in the upper areas would be welcome. Wi-Fi reception is somewhat limited.

The blue folder has some really useful tips, and the landlord is friendly and helpful. We stayed in house number 2, which had everything we needed to feel at home. It’s a beautiful apartment, almost more like a house, with stylish furnishings and a fantastic view and location. We’ll be back. Best wishes, Jupp Leydecker and family
