The wellness area was the cherry on top, especially the sauna with its gorgeous mountain view. Breakfast was incredibly well prepared for a 3-star hotel, with a huge range, fresh and tasty food, and choices for vegans. The restaurant staff were efficient and very attentive, and dinner was delicious while we watched the sunset from inside. The panoramas all around are incredible. Our bedroom could use a bit of renovation, but the terrace was so lovely for taking in the mountain view that we stopped thinking about the slightly dated interior. The hotel is ideally placed for hiking and winter skiing, right next to the ski lift. We’ll return, and meanwhile recommend this charming place.

We keep coming back and are happy to do so. The food is delicious, the rooms are extremely clean, and the staff are friendly and helpful. It’s also a great base for exploring the area. Be sure to try the apple strudel. We really can’t fault the place.

The dinners are the best, and breakfast has a wonderful buffet with anything you might crave. The location and views are unbelievable, and the service is warm and friendly whatever language you speak. The gondola service and hiking trails are lovely extras, and there’s also a sauna and jacuzzi.

Those ski-equipment hooks fixed to the terrace tables are a handy little touch. We stopped at Hotel Schlemmer above Brixen for lunch while skiing at the Plose ski resort. The food was average in price and the service was good, but the panoramic view was the real highlight. It’s only a few meters from the slopes, so a convenient place to take a break.

The hotel is in a beautiful location, and it’s easy to head out for a gondola ride or a hike right from the front door. We visited in summer and had 3/4 board. The four-course dinner was just the right size and straightforward, and breakfast was top notch. Get a room with a view, and be sure to ride the gondola to the top. The road up is tight, but take your time and you’ll be fine.
