Residenza Al Pozzo

The location is the main thing this place has going for it. It's easy to reach on foot or by vaporetto, and close to many attractions. The rooms were generally clean and comfortable, though old. When we first arrived there was a musty smell, and the bathroom stall doors had some black stains. There were also food crumbs in shared spaces like the terrace. We had already told our contact person when we would arrive, but couldn't reach them when we got there. We waited outside for 30 minutes before being let in remotely. The instructions weren't very clear either, with several doors to pass through before reaching our room. We also had to leave the tax money somewhere for someone to collect the next day. The WiFi didn't work at all. It might suit someone who isn't fussy and just wants a convenient place to sleep, but I wouldn't recommend it.

We really enjoyed staying here. The owner's husband was friendly and kind, and the whole place had a romantic feel. It was centrally located in San polo. There's a shared kitchen if you want to cook, plus a common area where you can have tea or smoke. I'd recommend it.
