Hotel Sogno del Benaco

Everything was very clean, and the view is beautiful. The staff were nice. Said was especially kind and ready to help during my stay. He answered all my questions and helped me find information about my bus. I’d definitely recommend it.

I wasn’t staying at the hotel, but the staff still treated me so well when I stopped by the Hotel/Restaurant in Limone sul Garda. I was passing through and wanted to have breakfast there in memory of my late parents. We’d been there years ago, when my Mom and I went shopping and my Dad stayed there for breakfast. They understandably no longer serve breakfast to people who aren’t hotel guests. Still, the waitress kindly found me a seat and brought coffee, cookies and a Croissant. The receptionist also looked into a road closure for me. They even declined to charge me for the Croissant, so I paid only for the coffee and my Cola. I hope my tip made up for that. This short visit meant a lot, especially because it brought back memories of that last vacation with my parents and my Dad enjoying your hospitality. Thank you. I hope to return and stay at the hotel next time. I haven’t seen the rooms, so I can’t really rate them. I’m giving five stars because I expect this kind of service throughout the hotel.

The location and view were good, the staff were nice, and the rooms were large. But for the price, I wouldn’t recommend this place. We were eight people, including my partially disabled elderly mum and three kids, and stayed two nights at Garda Suite hotel, one of the group’s hotels in this part of Limone. After booking months ahead, one of our nights was cancelled the day before we arrived. We had to scramble to find another room in high season, pay more and change our plans. Apparently this happens often. There was no discount or other compensation, even though we’d have had to pay if we had cancelled under their rules. Our request for a room with no stairs for my mum was ignored. The hotel seemed understaffed, maybe because of COVID. The car park was a bit of a nightmare with larger cars or minivans. The lighting was cold, the toilet fixtures were cheap plastic and came off, and there was no kettle in the room or common areas. Odd for such an expensive hotel.

Great lake views from here, and breakfast was excellent. It’s a good hotel, about 700m from the main promenade.
