The bistro serves thoughtful dishes made with local ingredients and flavors, and the wines from native grapes like Corinto Nero and Malvasia were excellent. The winery itself has a striking underground design with interesting green building features. Its setting is special too, with bush-trained vineyards and wide views towards Vulcano, Alicudi, and Filicudi. Sunset is a particularly lovely time to visit. I enjoyed it enough to want to go back, maybe more than once.

The sommelier was friendly, and the tasting was excellent. Add in the fascinating history and fantastic views, and it feels like a magical place.

The evening air was cool, and the view was breathtaking. I was especially taken with the Euxenos, the Corinto, and the passito. What a lush, beautiful vineyard and an atmospheric winery, with such kind staff. Definitely deserves a visit.
