Dolce Casa

I waited a few years to post this, and I hope the situation has improved since then. Back then, Dolce Casa was fairly competitively priced, and its location was the one good point. The house itself was generally acceptable, but the mattress was falling apart and seemed recycled from the 1960s. My partner and I have traveled a lot and can usually adapt, but after two nights we still couldn't sleep. We woke up tired and with back pain. When we told the owner about the mattress, her initially helpful manner changed. Within a day she canceled our booking and said we could leave right away if we weren't happy, especially as she already had requests from other customers. It felt shameful and focused only on money, without regard for the trouble it caused us or the vacation it spoiled. Finding another room or house at the last minute in July isn't easy. Renting out a room with a mattress like that is shameful. The experience was terrible. I gave one star for service and rooms, though it deserved less than zero.
