Rocce Azzurre

We spent four very pleasant nights here, with lovely views of the sea both day and night. Our cute room looked straight out over the water, which made it feel even more magical. The hotel also has its own private jetty for swimming and sunbathing. The team was humble and caring, and the food was fresh and distinctive. On the August 15th bank holiday, they arranged a lovely dinner for guests overlooking the sea and moon. The spa is well equipped and offers a range of up-to-date services. Ariana, the manager, was especially kind and helpful. She arranged our excursions and activities and suggested places to eat, along with things to see and do in this cute little city. We loved this authentic, heavenly break. We couldn’t be happier with Lipari and everything it offered.

The food was delicious every night, with a good choice of traditional Sicilian dishes. Lunch and dinner had the same menu, so if you missed one meal, you could have it at the other. The whole hotel came close to perfect for views, cleanliness, service, and food. When we arrived on the island, a staff member met us, helped with our luggage, and drove us through some very narrow streets to the hotel. Everyone was welcoming, most spoke good English, and the team helped wherever they could. The front desk booked excursions to nearby islands and seemed happy to help arrange other things too. Our bedrooms were tidy and everything worked as it should. The pillows and mattresses were comfortable, so we slept really well. This was easily the best hotel I’ve stayed at, and I’d recommend Rocce Azzurre to anyone visiting Lipari.

The food was delicious, and the staff were friendly and helpful. You’re right by the port, and Garibaldi street is about a 15-minute walk away. The sea is just below your room, and you can look out at it from the windows in the morning. I’ll definitely return and recommend this place to others.

The views are stunning, and the hotel is well maintained. We first stayed at Rocce Azzura when visiting family on Lipari 23 years ago, loved it so much that we chose it again this time. The owner and staff were just as friendly and helpful, and we loved our stay again. We’ll definitely return.
