Hotel Amerikan

I've been to this hotel in Livigno three times now for training as an athlete. It has everything I need: rich, wonderful food, a great spa to unwind, and high-quality facilities suited to athletes and tourists alike. The staff are always willing to help with whatever you need, and Mr. Donato is especially hospitable and kind. It's a charming place with easy access to everything. Thank you.

We had a great week here in December 2024 and have already booked again for December 2025. The food was five-star, the bar was great, and our modern room was spotless. Everyone was super friendly. It’s outside the town center, but the Amerikan ski slope is right across the road, with an easy route over the slopes to the gondola. There’s also a bus stop 50 meters away, so getting around was simple.

The room made a great impression, with lots of space, modern fittings, good lighting, and one of the best showers I’ve had. There was always plenty of hot water. The hotel is at the far end of Livigno, so it’s about a 30-minute walk back if you don’t take the bus. The drag pull ski lift connects to the rest of the ski area when there’s enough snow, and the buses to the main lifts are frequent. We found the blue bus pretty empty in the morning. We loved the location, and everyone from reception to housekeeping, the bar, and restaurant was warm, helpful, and engaging throughout our week. My husband and I had a fab stay, and I really recommend the hotel.

We loved walking along the river into town on days we didn’t ski. The local dogs that came by the bar were a lovely bonus for us dog lovers. The food was lovely, the wine fantastic and very reasonably priced, and all the staff were helpful and courteous. They even packed us a picnic each when we had to leave before 7 a.m. Thanks, Hotel Amerikan. We’ll see you again.
