Hotel "La Suisse"

The bathroom vent smelled really bad, so we had to keep the window open to stop the room getting smelly. That’s the only reason I’m giving four stars instead of five. Otherwise, the service was great. I left my phone on a bus and they helped me find it, 10 out of 10. Breakfast had a huge range of local products and other foods. Our room was lovely, newly renovated, with a modern bathroom and a nice cottage-like design.

Mariano deserves a special thanks for doing his best to help us and make us feel welcome in Livigno. We stayed for a week and were really happy with everything. The place was very clean, close to a ski lift, and about a 7 minute walk from the center. Everything was perfect, totally recommended!

The breakfast was generous and delicious, and the staff were very friendly and helpful. We booked a superior room, but found it a bit too small, so next time we’ll choose a larger one. The carpet in room 309 was the one real downside. It needs replacing because it no longer seems hygienic. We strongly recommend the owners deal with it urgently. Still, highly recommended.

Dogs are allowed, and the rooms were clean. The location is very good too, only 100 m from the ski lift, so you can walk there. But the owner seemed strange and rude, though maybe her English just isn’t very good. The sauna costs an extra 4 EUR per person. Ski equipment is locked away from 23 PM to 8 AM, which doesn’t work for people who need to leave early. Breakfast was okay, but for some reason the toaster was only for toast bread, not wholegrain. Strange rules and a strange owner. I definitely won’t return to this hotel, and can’t recommend it.
