The food was mediocre at best, and the staff seemed extremely disorganized and poor at communicating. On our last night, the waiter brought the wrong dessert. I just said we’d ordered something else, and he said it was all gone, but a few minutes later I saw him bring that same dessert to another table. He’d been insulting toward us throughout the stay. I wouldn’t return. We also had a freezing room. We complained, but nothing was done, and now everyone in our group is sick, which is awful with so many kids there. The walls are so thin you can hear people in other rooms and even on other floors as if they were right beside you. One night a group of Brits were screaming and singing around 1 a.m. We asked them to be quiet, but they didn’t listen. Nobody could sleep; we kept calling the hotel, but no one answered and reception was empty. We were about to call the local police before they finally quieted down. After the room was cleaned, the replacement sheets and towels were often dirty. I’ll upload photos of the bedding.

The bar gets customers who aren’t staying at the hotel, and being there gives you a sense of the “real” Livigno. There’s also a little attached shop that makes superb sandwiches. I stayed in San Rocco, away from the bustle of the town centre, and the hotel has that more relaxed feel too. It’s an older building, and the rooms look a bit dated, but they’re spotless and larger than in some newer hotels. I got a half-board deal; the three-course dinner was excellent and the breakfast buffet very generous.

We’ll definitely come back after a lovely week here. It’s a good three-star hotel, with good breakfast and dinner and a delicious dessert menu. The San rocco lift is about 250 m away, and the bus stop is 50 m from the hotel.
