Paradise Lodge

The rooms are large and comfortable, there's a garage and a ski deposit in the basement, and the restaurant food was good. It's a new hotel with an excellent spa. But there was no shuttle to the ski lifts, so we had to use the local bus. The lift didn't work for the first couple of days, which is surprising for a new hotel. The area in front stayed icy all week, see pictures! The wine(s) at the hotel bar are very expensive, so check the price before ordering.

The outdoor chairs on the first-floor terrace were a highlight for us, and the spa was really nice, with lots of lounge space to relax. It's a new, very nice hotel in a convenient location. Service was great, the beds were comfortable, and everything was clean. The only thing we didn't love was the transparent bathroom door. It's not completely see-through, but still doesn't give much privacy.

We came as two families in December 2025. The hotel is modern and new, with a great spa, a scenic outdoor infinity pool, and contemporary rooms. Our suite with a separate bedroom was outstanding. The more basic rooms sold for three people are another story: the sofa bed sits right opposite a fully transparent glass door to the toilet and shower. Anyone sleeping there can see someone using the toilet or shower, and the bathroom light comes on whenever it's used, making sleep virtually impossible. Many families will find that layout unacceptable, so keep it firmly in mind if booking for three. The staff came across as cold and unwelcoming. The hotel is on the outskirts, which makes dinner in the center inconvenient. Buses stop running at 7:45 p.m., taxis are quite expensive, and walking back from the center takes 30-40 minutes at a brisk pace. Despite what the description says, there was no direct access to the ski slope, at least at the beginning of the season. In our view, the price-to-quality ratio doesn't work in the hotel's favor. P.S. The management seems unable to take criticism constructively. In the response to my review, the tone was rude and accusatory, shifting the blame to the guest. Bear that in mind when considering the hotel. Don't expect help or a respectful, professional approach to requests or concerns.

We had a wonderful time at The Paradise Lodge and are so glad we got to stay here. It's a beautiful, modern hotel, absolutely a 5-star place. We can highly recommend it to everyone 😊
