TH Pila overlooks the Aosta Valley ski area, surrounded by breathtaking scenery! Guests can lose themselves in the exciting skyline that outlines the contours of the highest peaks of Mont Blanc, Monte Rosa and Cervino. Skiers will be able to challenge their limits on the 70 km of slopes in the ski area. Inside the hotel: unattended parking, wi-fi in public areas, restaurant with buffet service. There is a wellness centre, small gym, swimming pool, entertainment area, children's play area and conference room. The hotel has Classic and Family rooms. The guest experience was awful, and it fell well short of what the ads led me to expect. Dinner and breakfast were both noisy and much too busy. Even orange juice at breakfast costs an extra 5 euro, seriously? The evening bar is overpriced too. Getting there was a mess. I arrived by car in a tunnel and couldn’t tell whether to wait, leave the car, or unload the luggage. There wasn’t enough help. The garage was hard to find, narrow, and in poor condition. The rooms feel straight out of the 80's, with carpet on the floor and no clean feeling. There are too many rules around pool access, and gym time is limited. All the bureaucracy made the stay worse. I’ll leave a bad review on all the platforms.

The hotel is in a good spot for skiing. Walk out and you can ski right away, and the ski lockers are cheap and easy to use. Breakfast and dinner were pretty good, with a variety of dishes. The building is very old and needs renovation. The pool and gym area is small, outdated, and not well maintained. Most of the staff were helpful. One young woman at reception was especially good at speaking English and always keen to help. Sorry I can’t remember her name.

The ski lockers/cabins cost 30 euros, but the first one I was given didn’t work. The replacement didn’t work either. There was no proper apology, and the issue was handled very casually, as though this were normal. I’m staying here now, and I’m shocked by how guests are treated. Italian guests seem to be consistently prioritized. As a foreign guest, I always wait longer and get worse service. The hotel also feels old and poorly maintained. This has been very disappointing and far below the standard I expected. I wouldn’t recommend it to international travelers looking for fair, professional treatment.

The hotel has a great vibe and the team was excellent, from reception to the restaurant and the animation team. It’s a bit outdated, but the location right on the slopes is great. Good for children.

Food, location, service, and parking were all very good. The one bad point was the music after skiing. It was so loud that relaxing and talking with friends over an aperitif was impossible. The management doesn’t seem to care. Bring earplugs.
