We stayed at Masseria Aprile in June 2025, and it was truly idyllic. The grounds are beautiful, the historic-feeling trulli houses are spacious, and the staff and family were very accommodating. During our two weeks in Italy, breakfast at the Masseria was one of the highlights. Mama Aprile makes delicious pastries and cakes, the eggs are fresh from the farm, and everything tastes authentic and wonderful. We’d love to stay here again. I’ve attached a photo of our favourite breakfast with a view.

The Masseria is beautiful and so well cared for, and breakfast was fantastic, with homemade cakes and pies every day. We felt very spoiled. The honor bar is handy for getting water, wine and snacks. We stayed four nights, and it worked perfectly as a base for day trips to the many beautiful towns nearby. All in all, a wonderful stay and highly recommended.

From check-in onward, we felt at home. Our hosts, from multiple generations of the family, took wonderful care of us. The setting outside Locorotondo is quiet and well located, the rooms are comfortable, service is fantastic, and breakfast is great. The donkeys were a bonus too. We had an amazing stay at Masseria Aprile. Highly recommend this lovely hotel, which feels more like an experience.

A beautifully restored historic Masseria with traditional trulli, combining authentic charm and modern comforts. Our room was spotless and well equipped, with a small kitchen, fridge, very comfortable bed and a lovely terrace overlooking Locorotondo. It’s only about a 20-minute walk to town. The family atmosphere is what makes this place special. You can feel the care that goes into running Masseria Aprile. Fabio warmly welcomed us and showed us around, and his wife Stefania made delicious breakfasts with fresh local ingredients. They also make their own wine and olive oil from their vineyard, which you can enjoy during your stay or take home. If you want authenticity, comfort and hospitality, this is a real gem. Don’t hesitate, just book it.

We loved the countryside setting and the views. The rooms were comfortable and quiet, and the hosts were charming and helpful. Breakfast was delicious, with farm cheese, baked goods, jams and bread. It was a delightful stay and well worth the drive into town from this rural farm.
