Bella Itria

We stayed in the heart of the Centro Antico and had a balcony where we could sit with a drink in the cooler evening air. Gianni was a friendly, helpful host and nothing seemed too much trouble. Breakfast was at a nearby café, paid for by the B&B, and we could choose what we wanted without restrictions. Would certainly recommend it.

Gianni was there within five minutes of my arrival to hand over the keys and explain the amenities. He’s the owner, not a rental agent, and was very kind and helpful. We kept in touch on WhatsApp: I gave him an arrival window and updated him when my plans changed. He was a great host and a gentleman. The bedding and bath towels were thick white cotton, better than in most luxurious hotels. He also left water, snacks, tea, coffee, and a bottle of local white wine as a gift. Breakfast was delicious at a café a five-minute walk away, and I could choose whatever I wanted.

Breakfast is included at nearby local restaurants, just a short walk away. With only 4 rooms, that arrangement worked very well for us, since there was a wide range of food and drinks, all included. Gianni was an excellent, accommodating host who helped with our needs and gave us site seeing advice. The boutique property is unique, beautifully renovated, and well maintained. It’s hard to imagine a more central spot, just metres from the main square, church, and restaurants. We highly recommend it.

The terrace over a charming street in Locorotondo was a highlight, and the central location put excellent restaurants within walking distance. We spent two nights at Bella Itria on a family holiday and booked two rooms, one downstairs and one at the top of the stairs on the first floor. Gianni explained the stairs ahead of time, which we appreciated, and he was kind, responsive, and attentive from our first contact. I stayed in room 2. It was beautiful and comfortable, even nicer than the photos, with tasteful furnishings and thoughtful details. The mini fridge was complimentary and stocked with water, fruit juices, and local wine, replenished daily. There were soft towels, toiletries, slippers, and the room was spotless. Breakfast at a nearby café was delicious, with lots of choice and excellent cappuccino.
