Leonardo Trulli Resort

We went into town by bike, which was great, though we enjoyed the resort even more. The property was one of the best I’ve seen, with a beautiful pool, large rooms, comfortable beds, and everything very clean. From arrival to departure, the team treated us like family. Alessia was so kind and helped with everything, even going out of her way when our rental car broke down. We also took the cooking class, though we liked eating the chef’s food more than our own! Every meal, from breakfast and lunch to several dinners, was better than the one before. Leone was the kindest person we’ve ever met, and I’ll always remember his amazing wine recommendations. We came to Puglia for our honeymoon not knowing what to expect, and had the most amazing time at Leonardo Trulli. It was magical, and we’ll absolutely be back.

My husband and I spent a few nights at Leonardo Trulli resort and were amazed by the attention to detail. The staff were always helpful and attentive, and it was lovely chatting with Luciano and Simone between service. On our first night we took a cooking class, and we’re actually recreating that meal as I write this. The next day we rode bikes through the countryside, then had an on-site yoga class on our final morning. One of the best hotels I’ve ever stayed in. I can’t wait to come back with friends and family soon!

We loved how easy it was to reach nearby towns from Leonardo Trulli Resorts, while still having a quiet place to come back to. We visited Ostuni for a cooking class and had lunch and a winery visit in Alberobello. Locorotondo was a short, somewhat hilly bike ride away. The place itself was beautiful and full of thoughtful touches. Staff were warm and welcoming from the minute we arrived, and our room and the grounds felt instantly relaxing. There were welcome drinks and snacks, a surprise bruschetta by the pool, and a dozen fresh pink roses waiting on our patio the first morning. We ate dinner there that first night after spending time at the magnesium pool. Every dish was carefully made and delicious, and the chef clearly knows his craft. Everyone was lovely to talk with. I also enjoyed an outdoor yoga class under the trees one morning. This was our favorite stop on our two-week Italian honeymoon. Thank you, Rosalba and team, for making it feel so special.

The jazz night beside a trulli was brilliant, and getting around was easy: Alberobello was about a 20-minute taxi ride costing €30. We took the train to Locorotondo and walked back, which took roughly half an hour. It’s a peaceful resort and a lovely place for a relaxing holiday. The room was just right, the food was excellent, and the staff were amazing, with Puglian hospitality at its best. The photos don’t really capture how nice it is. I’d happily recommend it.
