Sotto Le Cummerse Albergo Diffuso

The friendly service was great, and everything was very clean. This place is a group of apartments and even whole homes spread through the old town, with breakfast in a centrally located room. We liked how walkable it was. There’s also a large free parking area across from reception. One thing to keep in mind: getting to some of the rooms can be difficult if you have limited mobility, because some stairs are steep.

The balcony at the back had a gorgeous view of Locorotondo. Inside, the room was huge, with a kitchenette and living area. The bathroom was a little small, but that was fine. And the location was incredible, right in the heart of Locorotondo. If I could, I'd give it seven stars for that alone!

We stayed four nights in Casa del Vicoletto, a lovely, well-equipped two-bedroom apartment on the ground floor. It had a full kitchen and everything we needed, and was easy to find, just a two or three minute walk from the office. Parking in the public lot was simple during the off season, with spaces available. The Friday market takes over that lot, but we parked down the street Thursday night and returned to the lot after the market ended Friday afternoon. The market was fun to wander through, with local food, home goods, clothes, and plenty more. Sotto Le Cummerse is arranged like a campus, with a main office for check-in and apartments around town serving as rooms. The units we saw were on the village’s south side near the office and main parking lot. Breakfast is in a separate space within an easy walk, and Graciana was a lovely host each morning. Roberto was wonderful too. We have so many good things to say about the place.

Michelle at reception was a star. She went far beyond what she needed to do to make sure we were happy. The town itself is pretty, clean, and feels safe. Our apartment was comfortable and thoughtfully equipped, though not luxurious, with welcoming touches like cookies and wine. One thing to note: ours was on two floors, and the stairs up were very steep. Anyone with mobility issues might want to ask for an easier place to access. Highly recommended.
