Casa Ciccone Cardone

Casa Ciccone Cardone in Locorotondo is a lovely base for seeing Puglia, with places like Alberobello 13 minutes away, Martina Franca and Cisternino 15 minutes, Ostuni 35 minutes, Polignano a Mare and Monopoli 45 minutes, and Matera about an hour and 20 minutes away. Locorotondo itself is right there too. The photos made us miss the place straight away, and we’re already planning to return this year. The house is made up of three Trulli side by side, together forming one private holiday home. It feels authentic, and there’s room for a whole family. Upstairs has several beds, air conditioning, and plenty of space. Downstairs is roomy as well, with an old-fashioned kitchen that makes you want to try making pasta or pizza. It all has that Italian movie feeling. We parked inside the double gate, in the spacious garden. There’s a small gate at the back, and the bakery and pharmacy are an easy walk away. Fresh cornetti in the morning, sorted. When we visited, there was an inflatable pool in the garden, which worked well for us. I see there’s now a large jacuzzi. The roof terrace upstairs is great for sunbathing, with loungers. Down below, the wisteria canopy makes a lovely place to unwind during the day or at night, even when it showers petals. We enjoyed the barbecue, a candlelit glass of wine, and the porch swing. Just don’t drift off while the BBQ’s on! Such a charming, carefree stay in Puglia.

The garden was lovely, and the house was clean, comfortable, and had everything we needed. It’s a charming Truli home in a beautiful spot, with friendly owners and lots of attractions nearby. Highly recommended.

A wonderful place, spacious and clean, with parking in the yard. It has everything you need for a dream stay.
