I spent a month here during my internship and really recommend it for the atmosphere, room standard, and location. The owner is one of the nicest people I’ve met in Lodi, always smiling and ready to help. Just remember it’s a student hotel: sometimes it got a little noisy or the kitchen was crowded. Still, everyone’s welcome, dogs included :)
A nice place to stay, and it wasn’t very crowded. Most of the people living here are service workers. There’s a large basement kitchen with all the amenities, so you can cook your own meals.
It’s very close to the train station and works as a basic overnight hotel for people with business in Lodi. Wi-Fi, toiletries, and breakfast are provided, but the rooms are below the standard of a value-chain hotel. There’s no restaurant on site, so you have to walk to the city center.
The food is authentic and well cooked, and the place has a lovely green atmosphere with plants everywhere. The restaurant is comfortable and runs efficiently, and the staff are friendly and helpful. Often, all it takes is looking up and someone is there with excellent service. It’s a little out of the way and not in the city center, but good food is worth the trip.
Avoid if you can. I travel to Lodi often and have stayed at this hotel before, but my experience this time was worse than the others. The place is noisy, with sounds in the stairwells and breakfast being prepared at 5:30 a.m. that you can hear from the second floor. It feels like nobody cares about guests trying to sleep. Parking is practically nonexistent, and there isn’t even a drop-off spot when you arrive.
