We found this place while in Loiano for a concert. The rooms were lovely and exceptionally clean, and the osteria serves tasty pizzas along with traditional food. A great spot for a good meal and a night’s sleep, with very warm, courteous hospitality.

The room was such a lovely surprise: spacious, fresh, spotless, and full of thoughtful details, almost like a little wedding favor. We were only passing through for one night, but also enjoyed an excellent breakfast and found the prices very fair. Thanks, we’ll come back to try dinner.

The food is excellent, though it costs a little more than average around here. This is a charming inn and osteria in the hills beyond Bologna, with updated rooms that still keep their historic character.

The bathroom was roomy and spotless, and although the bedroom was small, it was comfortable. Dinner and a night’s stay came to €30 each, which felt more than fair for all we had: a generous cold cuts platter for two, a quarter litre of wine, Coke and water, a 500 gram Angus rib-eye with baked potatoes, two profiteroles each, and a digestif. A good stop if you’re passing through.
