Hotel Glamping Borgo di Campagna

The rooms were okay and the pool was really nice. Breakfast was modest, and dinner was basic with very limited choices. The steak was high quality, but of the two side dishes, spinach wasn’t available on either of the first two days, so I ended up with aubergine both nights. The staff seemed to be trying their best. On my first day I had to track down the bar guy to order a Negroni, and he said the grocery truck hadn’t brought Campari, so he used a local substitute that didn’t work. The truck arrived with lots of supplies the next day, but still no Campari. The house wine was undrinkable, so I ordered a 25 euro bottle of red, which wasn’t available. The waitress offered one for 28 euros instead. When I paid the next day, it cost 35 euros. I checked the wine list and saw they’d given me a different bottle, the most expensive one, though it was a good wine. My wife was ill for two days and didn’t have dinner at all. We’d booked half board, and when I asked the owner at checkout if he could take that into account, he said it was already in the computer and couldn’t be changed. That was another 2 x 30 euros Fugazzi.

A peaceful spot away from the main roads, with an excellent restaurant on site. The half-board deal was outstanding value. We stopped for one night, about 15 minutes from the airport. The room was small but practical, with a comfortable bed and pillows, and the little shower had good water pressure.

The room we were given at Borgo di Campagna didn’t resemble the Booking.com photos. It was far smaller, laid out completely differently, and there wasn’t enough room for a baby bed and our luggage while still moving around comfortably. Even the hotel staff said other guests had complained about the same misleading pictures. We were travelling as two adults with our baby, so we had to leave straight away, find another hotel at the last minute, and pay much more. Moving around with a 1-year-old was stressful enough. To me, the photos online are highly misleading and amount to false advertising, not just a minor mismatch. For families, especially those with a child, I’d strongly recommend avoiding this place.

We stayed one night before flying from Olbia. The place feels tucked away in nature, even though the airport is only 15 minutes off. I’d read complaints about the small bathroom, but honestly it seemed totally fine to me. The hotel isn’t brand new, and that adds to its charm. They’ve freshened up the rooms with paint and modern decor, but come expecting authentic, lovely Sardinian culture rather than a luxury resort. The team is super sweet.
