The walks around Antico Cascinale Lombardo were a real pleasure, with quiet nature and lovely views making each one feel like a little discovery. I also loved how safe and happy my three dogs were in the garden, with plenty of room to run around. The house itself is charming, authentic, and beautifully looked after, and I felt at home straight away. The owner was attentive and punctual while still giving us space. She had bowls, beds for indoors and out, wipes, towels, and sheets for the sofa and bed ready for the dogs. A genuinely kind welcome.

The breakfast was excellent and had everything we needed, and the place is conveniently close to the lake by car. Cycling there works during daylight, but the bike path is completely dark at night. We visited in August, and sleeping in the attic room at 33°C was impossible without air conditioning. Inside, it wasn't especially clean, with quite a few cobwebs. The courtyard is a good size for dogs, though it looked neglected and didn't match the pictures.
