Hotel Ameiserhof

After a long ride, the panoramic sauna was just right for unwinding. Ameiserhof was one of my favorite stops on a motorcycle trip around Europe, with a quiet, scenic setting and a super friendly host. Breakfast was the best I’ve had so far, fresh, tasty, and plentiful. Great hospitality and a lovely place to recharge. Highly recommended!

The breakfast was the highlight: loads of vegetarian choices, an unreal müsli bar, around 20 kinds of fresh fruit, and seven homemade jams. Katrin made cappuccino on the espresso machine with local milk. I couldn’t have asked for a better stay. She was bubbly and attentive, shared helpful hiking tips, and went out of her way to make us comfortable. We slept well in comfy beds with cotton sheets and feather blankets and pillows. The rooms also have locally made skincare products, which you can buy at the front desk. I almost want to keep this place a secret, but it’s too good not to rave about. I’ll be dreaming of it when I’m back at my day job. Danke Katrin!!

The food was fantastic, so delicious, fresh, and mostly or entirely organic, with lots made at home. Katrin made us feel welcome the whole time and shared great ideas for things to do and places to go. She loves hosting and is so warm. It’s also great for kids, with a big garden, sand pit, swing, slide, and a lovely large terrace. She even helped fix my son’s tractor. Nothing left to wish for. We’ll definitely be back. Katrin was so kind, helpful, and full of energy. She has a lovely personality. Our room was comfortable and very clean, with a beautiful view. Breakfast was delicious and generous, with plenty of choice: fruit and vegetables, eggs, yogurt, cereals, nuts and seeds, meats and cheeses, and more. We loved staying at Ameiserhof and would happily return if we’re in the area. Thanks for a great stay, Katrin!
