The animals made it such a hit with my kids: they got to meet the dogs, sheep, horse, and plenty more. We ate really well, and there are rooms too. The place sits among green hills and feels like a little paradise. The staff are so welcoming that we felt at home within minutes. Five stars!

That meal is still on my mind. We went as a family two Sundays ago, and on this cold morning I wished I could relive the day. The polenta was delicious, with excellent starters, lovely pork and lamb, and decent house wine. It was warm and family-friendly, and the hospitality was kind. All that for just 15 euros, which is ridiculously cheap. What more could you ask for? Recommended.

The place is rustic and homey, and there was so much good food that those hot and cold mountain starters could have filled us up on their own. The homemade chitarra with Abbruzzese ragù was exquisite, the pasta practically melted in my mouth, and the trio of meats with potatoes was delicious too. A very nice meal all around 😋

The cooking let things down in places: the oil was disappointing, and some of the fried food was badly mishandled. Still, the chicken and ricotta were good quality, and the bright, airy room and professional welcome made a good impression.

Everything sits in the greenery of the Abruzzo hills, and the traditional cooking is excellent. Such an enchanting spot, definitely worth trying!
